Barks, barrels, and FUN!
NOTE: Advance tickets are available until 11:59PM on Friday, March 15th. Day-Of Tickets will be available at the door (not online).
On March 16th (6-9PM), we'll have the entire winery at Barrel Oak Winery all to ourselves...and your pups (don't worry, we'll be bringing some adoptable dogs for you to cuddle, too)! Our Barks and Barrels spring fundraiser will feature live music, a silent auction, adoptable dogs, and a dog-friendly winery/brewery.
Tickets include two complimentary drinks (wine or beer), an AWLA 75th anniversary "Paws off my wine" wine glass, delicious vegan snacks, and, best of all, the proceeds from each ticket sold will directly benefit animals in need at AWLA! Barrel Oak Winery will also donate 10% of all additional drink purchases to AWLA. Tickets are required for entrance to this event - so be sure to get yours today!

Barrel Oak Winery is a straight shot down 66 West from Arlington. It's about a one hour drive from the shelter and well worth it for the sweeping winery views, delicious drinks, and philanthropic and dog-friendly atmosphere.

There will be complimentary vegan snacks throughout the evening. (The drinks are vegan too.) If you'd like a heavier meal with your drinks, please feel free to bring your own picnic as well!

Live Music
Based out of Arlington VA, Nick Ian &the Machine are a power house duo that not only covers a variety of classic to modern rock/pop/reggae, but instead recreates it. Nick Tierra’s vast range of musical influences allow him to cater to almost any crowd. With the help of “The Machine” he can design intricate loops on the fly and add multiple layers of bass, guitar or even percussion to generate the core of their sound. To fill in the gaps, Ian Lafferty joins in with a six piece hand percussion set adding a sharp tribalistic reggae tone.
